Hand made with love By Hannah Jones Design Each bear is individually designed and has unique characterstics. Best quality materials are used throughout. Materials Eyes Hand made English glass eyes, I make my own eyelids to add extra caracter. Joints All my bears are fully Cotterpin Jointed unless other wise stated Filling I use Polyester and Steel shot. Paws and Pads Can be made from Cashmere, Ultrasuede or Sassy longpile  Fabrics  I mainly use Mohair sometimes Alpaca.  Hats and cloths All hats and cloths are designed and handmade by me.

About me

I have been making bears for 2 years, I have always loved and collected bears from an early age. I have always been passionate about sewing and textiles and completed a degree in textile design.

It was not until after I had my children that I fell back into bear making. My love of bears and frustration of never finding that perfect bear lead to me making my first bear and after reading and researching as much as I could find on bear making teqniques bear design I discovered a world of bear artists and so my passion my husband would say obsession began, bringing my love of bears and textiles together. Since I began my bears have evolved out of my love of experimentation with design and textiles, My basic rule for bear making is there are no rules, I love sitting down with a piece of paper and free hand drawing a bear in my mind that pattern will then evolve and change over time. My bears have become much more unique to me.

I am influenced by my love of vintage fabrics and pretty things around me. I am a childminder through the day and the children in my care are also a big influence on my bear design. I hope you love my bears as much as I love making them and you will follow my progress through the bear making world.

I have a couple of bear fairs booked this year, one being the Great Yorkshire Teddy bear event which I am very excited to be surrounded by some of the best bear artist in the world, it will be a fab event please do come.  Hannah XX

All my bears are collectables, they all contain small parts, glass eyes, cotter pin joints, most have steel shots and are therefore unsuitable for children.
